RiverSimple

The purpose of RiverSimple is to develop a platform that facilitates the development and commercialisation of highly fuel efficient cars. This platform aims to drastically reduce the environmental impact of personal mobility while generating significant social and economic value.

RiverSimple was founded by Hugo Spowers who has worked on the development of highly fuel efficient hydrogen cars in the UK for a significant number of years.

OSCar Automotive Ltd, fully owned by RiverSimple LLP, initiated two collaborative projects involving industry and academia to demonstrate the viability of hydrogen fuel cell cars using currently available technology. These projects are delivering two unique concept cars: LIFECar, a hydrogen fuel cell sports car developed with the Morgan Car Company, Linde and QinetiQ; and Hyrban, a lightweight city car. Both projects involved research teams at Cranfield and Oxford Universities.
