Design & Engineering

Doug’s automotive electronics career started with the development of chassis dynamics control systems for Lucas Automotive and powertrain controls for the Ford Motor Company.  Most of his professional career was spent working for McLaren, on the development of powertrain, chassis and telemetry systems for the McLaren, Jordan, and Honda Formula-1 teams, moving on to developing and supporting the electronics for the NASCAR and FIA/GT3 race series in Europe and in the USA.

Following a short period as the Technical Lead on a ground-breaking safety-critical avionics development, Doug moved back into road car development, initially as the software lead for a number of ECUs on the McLaren road car series, and latterly for Jaguar LandRover, where Doug took on a management role to lead control systems development for the JLR autonomous vehicle programme.
