A senior executive with extensive experience within the automotive industry, Simon is founder of Ensira Consultants. He had over 20 years experience with Nissan Motor Company worldwide, and was latterly VP Corporate Strategy and Planning for Nissan Europe with responsibilities for vehicle programme management, including the Nissan Leaf, zero emission strategy and light commercial vehicles.

Simon has joined the Operating Board in an informal capacity as an advisor on automotive production.

Shonda has thirty years of experience in managing various forms of agricultural products and financial assets. In 2006 she founded Chess Ag Full Harvest Partners, which manages the Full Harvest Agricultural Opportunities suite of funds and managed accounts. Prior to Chess Ag, from 2002 through 2006, Warner was the managing partner of the London fund of hedge funds, Chess Capital Partners. From 1998 through 2002 she was the co managing director, and partner, of Montier Partners, a UK based fund of funds. Before joining Montier, she was an executive director at Goldman Sachs where she was a member of London’s equity derivatives and proprietary trading desks. Before moving to London Warner spent three years in Tokyo running Goldman Sachs proprietary warrant trading business.
Ms Warner currently serves as an advisor to the AGree Project, examining the future of Agriculture in the US. Warner also serves on the board of ACDI-VOCA, one of the US’s foremost experts in international agricultural development, and implementer of US AID in Africa, India and the Near East, and on the board of MENA Capital, a leading hedge fund in the Middle East. Additionally Warner founded the PORCH Society in 2013, a non profit dedicated to the Preservation of Rural Cultural Heritage.

MOHAMED HAYKAL

Mohamed is a Founding Advisor on the new Board of Advisors that Riversimple is forming. He is a business executive whose 40-year experience spans several sectors including shipping, banking, and technology. As chairman of Haykal Group, he leads its activities in media, enterprise software, and mobile services. He also runs the group’s advisory firm that serves several global players in aviation and shipping, including ATR aircraft manufacturer and Columbia Ship Management.

Haykal founded Al-Sham Shipping Company in 1994 with the Saudi Dallah Group, and served as Executive Chairman for 20 years until 2014. In 2005, he cofounded the Arab Bank Syria, where he continues to serve on the board, after serving six years as deputy chairman. Between 1985 and 1999, he was a board member of Contship B.V. Netherlands, which operated Contship Containerlines, and container terminals in La Spezia,and Gioia Tauro in Italy. He started his career in the Haykal Shipping Agency, which was one of the largest in the Mediterranean basin, representing some of the leading shipping lines in the world until early 2000s.

A civil engineer by training, Haykal served on the board of the Syrian Federation of Chamber of Commerce (2000-2005), the German-Arab Chamber of Commerce in Berlin (2001-2010). He was also the Deputy Chairman of the Damascus Securities Exchange (2009-2011.) In 2010, he was made a Freeman of the City of London. He is a fellow of the Institute of Directors (IoD) in London.
